The whole of Jonah can be summed up as revealing a God who is compassionate. His sovereign power was on display through a loving concern towards both Jonah and the people of Nineveh. Are we more concerned about ourselves than we are for others? Do we struggle in showing compassion to others? As believers we are called to be imitators of God, which means to do as He instructs and therefore be a people that share His compassionate heart with those we interact with each and every day.
