Weisman Museum Interim Director Andrea Gyorody joins us on the podcast! Andrea is a curator, art historian, editor, and critic. From 2017 to 2020, she served as Assistant Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Allen Memorial Art Museum at Oberlin College. Her exhibition Afterlives of the Black Atlantic, co-curated with Matthew Francis Rarey, received a 2020 Award for Curatorial Excellence from the Association of Art Museum Curators.

Currently, Andrea is presenting The Kinsey African American Art & History Collection at Pepperdine University. Andrea and R.J. discuss presenting this work of art, its importance, her favorite pieces, and, of course, why the arts are important.
