On this episode, we talk two movies about the changing San Francisco and one Blind Criterion Buy. First, we talk about the new movie The Last Black Man in San Francisco from first-time director Joe Talbot starring Jimmie Fails and Jonathan Majors about a man trying to find a home in the city that he loves, but has left him behind. Then we take a look at Barry Jenkins' first movie Medicine for Melancholy, which shines a light on other areas of the black experience in a changing San Francisco. And finally we talk about a movie from Criterion that came to mind in talking about the black experience, but in a very different way, and this time in South Central Los Angeles in Charles Brunett's searing To Sleep with Anger starring Danny Glover.
