As a society, we have never been more cynical, or more hopeful. We seem to want to escape the world and transform it, all at once. We’ve shifted our trust away from most institutions and leaders.
In this crisis of hope, redemption is the antidote to believing in nothing but ourselves. Redemptive entrepreneurship is creating new ventures—be it businesses, nonprofits, or social enterprises—that reach beyond best practices and ethical baselines.
Redemptive leadership is surrendered ambition and cultural renewal for the sake of others. Redemption involves loving God and loving our neighbor by responding to the world’s pressing issues with ambition, ingenuity, and hope.
