The Weight of the Resurrection

This is part 3 of Peter's second sermon. This text deals with grasping the weight of resurrection of Jesus Christ to the right hand of the Father. Unbelievers find the resurrection of Jesus to the right hand of the Father an unbearable weight because they have no Street or road there upon which to cross to heaven- they have no Citizenship there upon which to rely, but are left in a cistern out of which they can never escape- they have no Sanctifier there are are left with filthy rags- and they have no Shield there and as a result can never win the battle- This leads to to the appropriate response of those who crucified our Lord-them being cut to the heart- The weight of the resurrection of Jesus is heavy upon the enemies of God.
