Effective Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 6:00 a.m., Yavapai County will lift the Stage 2 Fire Restrictions and Outdoor Fire Ban. Yavapai County Board of Supervisors Chairman James Gregory said, “Our Emergency Manager, working with local forest, and fire professionals, have discussed the current fire danger and determined that it is appropriate to remove the current fire restrictions implemented back in June.” Yavapai County Emergency Manager Ashley Ahlquist said, “With the recent precipitation we have seen in Yavapai County, and the forecast for continuing rain in the coming weeks, the moderating fire indices support rescinding the restrictions.” This determination includes...
