The first look at the recently-debuted Open State Playoff competition for the Prescott Badgers boys basketball program ended in defeat on Wednesday night as the team struggled on defense late and fell to the Brophy Prep Broncos in Phoenix, 74-61. The Badgers of the 4A Grand Canyon region entered as the No. 24 ranked team, while Brophy of the 6A Premier region was ranked as the No. 9 overall team in the state.
