Humboldt Unified School District sent out a notification just after 5:00 pm on April 4, 2024, canceling school for Friday, April 5, 2024, for the school district. The full message from Superintendent Christine Griffin: Dear HUSD Families, Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel school on Friday, April 5th, for all Humboldt Unified Schools due to recent criminal activity in our community. While we are confident that students and staff were safe while in school on Thursday, April 4th, we understand and acknowledge the concerns that are circulating.
