This week, Christopher Brenchley co-founder & CEO of Surehand joins me on the show to discuss Rock the Trades, a workforce development initiative that celebrates the American industrial worker—raising awareness of the skilled trades as a fulfilling career path and enabling those who choose to embark upon it.

The skills gap in the U.S. may leave an estimated 2.4 million skilled manufacturing positions unfilled between now and 2028.

One of the biggest factors driving the shortage is the mass retirement of workers in the Baby Boomer generation.

This segment of the population is employed in fields like construction, manufacturing, and engineering in much higher proportions than their younger generation. On this episode, Chris will be discussing the mission of this initiative to bring interest back to skilled trades in the US.

You can learn more about this initiative and their work being done by visiting https://rockthetrades.com.
