On this episode, I welcome Marlo Stradley of Powerblanket on the show to discuss how they are helping composite/ cast polymer manufacturers prevent material waste and labor costs through controlled temperature solutions.

Powerblanket in located in Salt Lake City, Utah and back in 2005 they started with one problem, “How do you cure concrete quickly with maximum strength year-round?”

This question drove the creation of the Concrete Curing Blanket, which, in turn, changed the concrete calendar for many companies.

They realized there were industrial temperature problems all over the world where their technology could make a major difference. The recession in 2008 forced them to expand their market reach into other industries including composites, where resin and gelcoat flow can be a major problem during the colder months.

Now Powerblanket products improve viscosity and provide total temperature control and peace of mind year-round for manufacturers.

Marlo has been with Powerblanket for 6 years and has a 30-year career in the Aerospace industry. He’s worked with NASA and other Aerospace customers for composite launch structures.
