The month of December has been hectic, and I'm not just talking about holidays.

The news cycle kept all of us pretty busy. From court proceedings to politics and everything in between, there were definitely enough things to us talking.

One viral news clip that caught my attention was that of Pastor Jamal Bryant. Bryant is the Pastor of New Birth Baptist Church here in Atlanta. During an interview with Rashan Ali Bryant for the Cool Soror podcast, Bryant mentioned how he would like to use weed to draw more Black men back to his congregation.

His comments sparked some ideas in my mind. Since we were recording our last show of the year, why not make it one to remember? For our last live recording of 2022, we welcomed minister, activist, and teacher Robert Allen to speak about the Black church and its relationship to cannabis, his feelings on Jamal Bryant's comments, and how Black Christians can find a middle ground when it comes to the plant.
