Severe storms Monday will bring the threat of damaging wind, hail, and isolated tornadoes to both North Carolina and South Carolina.

The threat of sever weather has prompted the National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center to issue an Enhanced Risk (tier 3 out of 5) for much of the Carolinas.

The biggest severe weather threat will be damaging winds and hail, but a few isolated storms could also produce tornadoes and localized flash flooding.
