Every year, we love catching up with North Carolina's own Mark Sudduth, a storm chaser and founder of hurricanetrack.com. Each year, Mark shares with us his amazing stories of chasing and documenting some of Mother Nature's most intense tropical storms.

Mark and his filmmaking are known for capturing footage where humans cannot. By securing cameras inside the path of a tropical storm or hurricane without the need for a human operator, Mark is able to safely capture amazing video of Mother Nature's true strength.

For this year's conversation looking back at the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season, Mark was invited to join the Carolina Weather Group and our friends from Weather Brains, Storm Front Breaks, and Chaser Chat for the Weather Pods Disaster Relief Telethon. In that telethon's 8 p.m. hour, Mark joined us for that special conversation, which was helmed by guest host Brad Panovich of WCNC Charlotte.

Thanks to your generous support, our telethon was able to raise over $7,500 for the American Red Cross. You can still donate by visiting https://bit.ly/wxpodstelethon.
