Previous Episode: Barry Jacobs, Caregiver & Family Therapist, Meditations For Caregivers
Jay has served as caregiver for his wife, Sue, since 1992, when the challenges of multiple sclerosis began to intrude on their lives. For 5 years, he also has supported his 90-year-old mother-in-law to ensure her nursing home provides the care she deserves. Jay is founder of The Empowered Caregiver Network, which conducts extremely interactive support group calls for family and professional caregivers alike. In the coming months, Jay plans to publish his first caregiving book, The Caregiver’s Survival Guide, and to begin hosting workshops on income generation for caregivers and their families.
