Marsha P. Johnson was an American gay liberation activist and self-identified drag queen. Known as an outspoken advocate for gay rights, Johnson was one of the prominent figures in the Stonewall uprising of 1969.

Marsha has a rich story that not everyone is aware of. In this first CBNpod episode of Pride Month I hope to amplify her story by telling it here. This is the history that isn't taught in schools, this is the history that is doomed to repeat itself, this is the story that is just as much a part of American history as any other movement documented.
