There's a common objection to the Kalam Cosmological Argument that goes something like this: we never actually experience anything beginning to exist, we only ever experience new arrangements of pre-existing material. Hence, since we don't experience things really beginning to exist, the Kalam's causal principle is left unsupported. In this episode, I'm joined by Dr. Justin Mooney, a philosopher specializing in mereology (the study of part-whole relations) to discuss whether this objection has any merit.
