State Lawmakers Work to Jump-Start Economy

On this week's program, COVID-19's impact on the state budget prompts lawmakers to readjust state priorities.  Capitol Report moderator Shannon Loehrke talks with Senate Tax Chair Roger Chamberlain about the proposed $330 million dollar Cornavirus Economic Recovery Act, and Senate DFL leaders promote a $2.3 billion dollar bonding bill to ignite construction projects. 

Also on the program, lawmakers explain the necessity of rural internet access for distance learning and telehealth, and the Senate bans the use of trichloroethylene (TCE).  Plus, a look at efforts to slow the COVID-19-related infection rate in long-term care facilities.
