On this week's Capitol Report program, Shannon Loehrke takes a look at several proposals gaining traction. Senator Rich Draheim, R-Madison Lake, highlights a series of bills designed to make homes more affordable and accessible. Senator Sandy Pappas, DFL-St. Paul, discusses her proposal that would end child marriage in Minnesota, and Senator Roger Chamberlain, R-Lino Lakes, explains his two sports-related measures, one that would legalize sports betting and another bill that would allow college athletes to be paid for use of their image.
Also on the program, Governor Tim Walz proposes a supplemental budget that reserves funds to address COVID-19 and signs a measure that dedicates about $21 million dollars to address the pandemic.
