Last year, the legislature passed a law for an independent review of Minnesota’s Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS).  The newly-released report offers 31 recommendations to improve services in three areas: Deputy Registrars, exam stations and DVS.  Senator Scott Newman, R-Hutchinson, chair of the Senate Transportation Committee, joins Capitol Report moderator Shannon Loehrke to offer his perspective on the recommendations.

DFL members of the House and the Senate have joined forces with the creation of a new, bicameral caucus to promote the adoption of a universal health care system in Minnesota. Caucus Co-Chair Jennifer McEwen, DFL-Duluth, explains the reasons for the new coalition.

Also in the program, highlights from press conferences with Governor Tim Walz and leaders of the Senate Republican Caucus to promote their priorities for the 2022 legislative session.
