Republican Governor Tim Pawlenty signed the Next Generation Act into law in 2007, but Minnesota has fallen behind in reaching the energy goals.  Senator Nick Frentz, DFL-North Mankato, is carrying legislation that would get the state back on track, and he joins Capitol Report moderator Shannon Loehrke to talk about the future of energy production in Minnesota.

Hosting weddings can be a lucrative business, and wedding barns can provide both charm and beauty. Controversy has emerged over fire safety regulations, and Senator Karin Housley, R-Stillwater, talks with Shannon about a bill that would clear up the confusion.
