Welcome to a brand-new podcast. Canning+7. This is the podcast where we discuss canning, other ways of food storage, prepping, gardening, farming, ranching, homesteading, and occasionally politics. On this debut of Canning+7 I interviewed Suzanne C Sherman. Suzanne Sherman has 2 podcasts. One is the Wasatch Report, and most likely perhaps her more well-known podcast The Red Hot Chilly Prepper. We started off the podcast briefly discussing my radio career and now I am doing Canning+7. Then we talked about how Suzanne became a prepper. Then we discussed are preppers selfish. The answer is no. However, there are some smart ways to prepare so you don’t panic or become a hoarder. During our conversation we also mentioned prepping isn’t just food storage. Prepping can be things such as how to communicate when the cell towers go down. Or, what would happen if you had a satellite phone and the satellites were knocked out of the atmosphere. Therefor, your satellite phone wouldn’t work? We also had a conversation on how to get people who aren’t interested in prepping. Suzanne and I have different methods each of us would use. However, I think her way of getting someone interested is just as effective is mine. The following are links.
