Donna's integrative programs are created to fill the education gap for health professionals and curious consumers. Listen to this conversation to hear how cannabis played a holistic role in Donna's cancer diagnosis and her mission to increase cannabis competency for all.

Donna Shields is co-founder of the Holistic Cannabis Academy, the only online training program for health practitioners and cannabis industry professionals with an integrative health focus. She is also a consultant to medical and wellness cannabis and hemp companies. Donna is a registered dietitian nutritionist who began her career in the US Army and worked on staff and as a consultant and spokesperson to numerous large food brands. She headed up global health communications for The Coca-Cola Company, Atlanta and was on faculty at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. She's been a food and nutrition writer for various online and print publications and has authored her own cookbooks. Most recently, she has been a contributor to The Cannabis Kitchen Cookbook. 

In addition, Donna is a cannabis wellness consultant. She is building wellness branding and health communications programs for dispensaries, hemp brands and works with several technology-based companies who are bringing innovative data tools to the cannabis consumer and manufacturers. She has founded and hosts week-end cannabis education immersions, for professionals and consumers, under the Colorado Cannabis Retreat brand.
