Episode 010: Nurse to Patient to Cannabis Professional with Jordan Person

In episode 10, Tori speaks with Jordan Person about her experience as both nurse and patient and how that combination fostered her transition into well-respected, cannabis massage professional. Get to know this extraordinary advocate and hear how cannabis saved her life.

Jordan's journey with cannabis started at the age of 16. It wasn't until she became ill at the age of 29 that she would use cannabis to save her life. 

A nurse for almost 20 years and a massage therapist for 13 years Jordan has taken all of her knowledge and put it to use in the cannabis industry. Jordan moved to Colorado in 2010 as a cannabis refugee. She turned to a life of plant medicine in an effort to change her quality of life. Many healthy years later she now owns two wellness based businesses, Primal Therapeutics- Cannabis Infused Massage and Primal Healing, organic topicals and skincare.  In 2017 Jordan wrote a curriculum for fellow massage therapists to learn the modality of Cannabis Massage. Cannabis Massage and Topicals Making 101 has been taught to students from 21 states and 3 countries. She now contributes to CannabisMD as a Medical Expert and studies herbalism in her spare time. 

Jordan is also the former executive director of Denver NORML, an award winning nonprofit. Her years spent in activism have fueled her fight for patient rights and patient advocacy. Her time is now focused on making products, the research and development of new skincare, and furthering the education of cannabis plant medicine to the community that surrounds her through various events, education series, and conferences.
