Welcome back to the Candlelit Tales podcast.

In this series, we’re telling seasonal tales of Irish folklore in the run up to the Celtic New Year, Samhain.

This is a story that has inspired many retellings of headless horsemen throughout the world, a spirit linked with the pagan chieftain Crom Dubh, who some believe was linked to the autumn harvest. The Dullahan is famously difficult to thwart, riding down its victims and able to pass through any door or barrier.

Please note the content of these stories may be triggering for some listeners, please take care of yourself as you listen. This podcast contains elements of body horror, the experience of being hunted, and death.
