023: The Power of Your Mind + Simple Ways to Love Mother Earth

Carrie (@carrie.gillaspie) and Bre (@breanna.was.here) start the show with giving an update on Carrie's farm kitty, Cedric! The girls discuss the cultural revolution of Friends and Seinfeld, and their thoughts on first trailer of Alabama Hannah's season of The Bachelorette. Bre shares that she's been watching The Good Place, which prompts Carrie into declaring her love for KBell and Dax Shepard. The girls talk about how exciting it is that TV and movies and how we consume them, are changing for the better. C and B discuss the USDA ending a program that tests on cats and plans to adopt remaining cats to USDA employees. This leads them to talking about ocean pollution and a whale that washed up to shore with a stomach full of plastic. Carrie reminisces on seeing first hand the lack of infrastructure in some of the countries in Southeast Asia and how it effects their trash and pollution. The girls share that the dumpster puppies got some huge attention this week when Inside Edition came to town to film a story about them! Bre tells us about STINK! and shares how she went fragrance free at home and at work. In the Learning Lately segment C and B talk about how powerful our minds really are, and Carrie shares how the documentary Heal opened her mind when it came to her father's chronic illness. In the Ask Carrie segment C and B answer a question about how to live a more environmentally friendly lifestyle.
