In the 1980s, the Hazlet Elks defeated teams from large cities, attracted world class talent, and dominated the Saskatchewan Major Baseball League. With three championships in a row, this team from a small village defeated teams from cities that had more money, more access to players and more resources. While the team only lasted a decade, its lasting impact on Saskatchewan baseball was felt for years to after.
