In the late 1950s and early 1960s, the Canadian government embarked on a secret campaign to build several dozen emergency government bunkers to protect officials in the event of nuclear war.
The largest was the Diefenbunker outside of Ottawa and today on the podcast, I look at the story of these long gone relics of the Cold War.
