From 1929 to 1972, Alberta would sexually sterilize 2,800 people that were deemed unfit to be parents. While IQ tests were used to determine who would be sterilized, women, minorities and Indigenous would make up a large portion of the individuals sterilized. This is Alberta's Eugenics History
