Fort Lonesome, the beloved chain-stitch embroidery studio based in Austin, TX has dressed the coolest of the cool from Bill Murray to Diplo. The founder, Kathie Sever, stops by the galley to talk to us about working on a ranch in Montana, her past life as a pastry chef, and eventually starting Fort Lonesome. Jason and Kathie reflect on the influences that come from being raised by artists and the various avenues it often takes to discover your artistic medium.

Fort Lonesome’s show, “Haus of Shiny Shit” ran at the Preacher Gallery this past February.
