The Only Guarantee in Your Small Business | Episode 23

If you're waiting for reassurance- this episode is for you. When it comes to business, we find ourselves thinking things like "If only I knew this would work out", "If only I could know this would be a success."

The truth is that, like so many other things in life, there is no way to have certainty in how the future will unfold. We face massive decisions, like buying a house or starting a marriage, and we understand that there is no guarantee for how those experiences may turn out.

But when it comes to business, we find ourselves waiting for this deep intuition of 'knowing' before we feel the courage to launch something.

Friend, there is no 100% Guarantee in business. But there are still so many other reasons to move forward.

I want you to think back to something that you truly excelled at. Whether it was being a great student in college or running a marathon, think back to a time in your life that you excelled. And please, oh please, do not say 'I can't think of anything I've excelled at.' I mean, really, give yourself some credit. What is something people always tell you that you excel at?

Now think of what it took to get there. Was a natural-given talent? Most likely, it was more than that. Most likely, it took hard work, determination, and resourcefulness to get to that level of accomplishment.

Now, how can those same traits that live within you be used to tackle your next goal in business? How can you use that same process, target it towards your next launch, and know that your hard work will be rewarded.

This is the exact process I did utilized during my course launch. I thought back to when I was in college, and how hard I worked and how much effort and determination I put into my studies. I put that same level of hard work into my launch. And I realized that no matter how hard college got, I didn't quit. So no matter how hard the launch got, I couldn't quit.

Sometimes in business, all we can do is our absolute best.

If you're an entrepreneur, then you've already chosen the need to create and build something as greater than the need for a guarantee. And let's be honest, job security isn't exactly blossoming in the year 2021...

So remember that there is no reassurance. You are 100% guaranteed to never receive a 100% guarantee in your business. No one that went before us had a guarantee, and no one that comes after us will.
