Today is July 4th, when America celebrates her Independence from Britain’s harsh rule and interference with worshipping God. In our service today we will commemorate this event, including reciting the pledge of Allegiance and the Pre-Amble of the Declaration of Independence and special songs. We’ll be reading from Ephesians 2:14-22 about the Church's foundation, built upon the apostles and the prophets, and the Chief Cornerstone of the building being Jesus Christ himself. We will take Communion to remember Jesus’ sacrifice for the world, and conclude with corporate prayer for America.
