Previous Episode: Meeting With God

Call to Worship:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  All things were created through him.

In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.

His light shown in the darkness, darkness that was the result of our sin.  This sin was in our hearts, our desperately wicked, self seeking, glory thieving hearts.

He came to his own and his own did not receive him.

The Word became flesh and lived among us.  He left the eternal glory of heaven, and the perfect fellowship of the Trinity.  He condescends to us, lives among us, suffers like us, dies for us! We are here because Jesus Christ didn’t say with cold indifference, “Give them what they deserve, they brought it on themselves!”

Jesus Christ is the Mercy of God!

Praise to the Lord, the author of our salvation, the Lamb who was slain on our behalf! O let all that is in us adore him!

Sermon: Exodus 40: 34-38

34 Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

35 And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

36 Throughout all their journeys, whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out.

37 But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out till the day that it was taken up.

38 For the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel throughout all their journeys.
