The Word of God is full of great examples of real-life temptations that people had to face in those days. Due to modern technology we are able to access anything (good or bad) from the tip of our fingers. It seems as if though temptation is everywhere we turn. So, let's face it...we've all been tempted in one way or another. The difference is all in how you handle these temptations. Are you the type of person that tries to handle temptations on your own? Maybe you find yourself reading books, seeking the advice of others, or listening to "experts" by way of videos, podcasts, etc. ...? Here's an idea...have you ever tried seeking the Word of God to see how Jesus resisted temptation? When we don't seek the Word of God, we have serious consequences that we have to face later on.

Referencing the books of James and Genesis, in today's teaching, Pastor Ben gives us some great examples of the how temptation was handled while seeking the word of God and the results of not seeking God's Word. Pastor Ben also teaches us what we should do when we are presented with modern day temptations.

*Here are three goals that the enemy has in mind in order to succeed at tempting you:
1. The enemy always questions God's Word.
2. The enemy Changes God's Word.
3. The enemy denies God's Word.

*Here are three ways that we can resist temptation:
1. Consider God's Judgment
2. Consider God's Goodness
3. Consider God's Divine Nature from within
