Dealing With CHRISTmas Weeds - Audio

Q: What is the purpose of a "weed"?
A: To choke out the good, fruitful plants.

Have you ever thought about that question? Just like the earth contains weeds that choke out our fruitful plants, there are also "weeds" amongst us, namely in our thoughts, that try to keep us from fully focusing on Jesus and the love that Jesus commands for us to share with others. During this Christmas season, there are three "weeds" that you should be aware of that just might be trying to "choke" you out of fully enjoying the love that this special holiday is intended to represent. They are:

1. The Cares of the World
2. The Deceitfulness of Riches
3. The Desires for Other Things

In today's teaching, Pastor Ben describes in detail these three "weeds" that tend to grow in our minds and hearts. And just like a weed on the ground, if it is not removed quickly, it will spread and grow uncontrollably. This lesson is intended to provide the tools that we need to help thin out, and eventually remove any and all "weeds" and recognize when a new one is beginning to take fruit...then, remove it!!!
