What’s a sequel if we don’t make it our first ever game covered twice on this show? That’s right baby, we’re back with one of the best games of all time Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest with writer for Animaniacs, actor on a bunch of things, and true comedy hero Rekha Shankar. She joins our buddy Alec Robbins the DKC2 hall of fame with this appearance and we couldn’t be happier.
On this episode Rekha discusses the appeal of diving into worlds that interested her and how that manifested itself in drawing and playing certain video games, discusses her love for customizing characters in games and feeling seen through “The Rekha” the wrestler that she made, and how this game was THE activity for her and her roommate during a hot summer in New York City.
