Prior to that, Uphoff was founding CEO of Beliefnet, an Internet startup that was sold to News Corporation in 2007. He served as President of VNU Media’s Entertainment Group and Publisher of The Hollywood Reporter, growing the business to $100M in revenue and delivering the 3 largest years in The Hollywood Reporter’s 75 year history. Uphoff was Publisher of InformationWeek in the mid-90′s, growing revenues from $15M to over $150M and into the largest brand in the history of B2B media. Uphoff also served in several key management positions at Ziff-Davis during the company’s rapid growth in the early 1990′s. Uphoff was named “Folio Forty C-Level Visionary” by Folio Magazine in 2011 and has been named in the Top 100 business media execs by B2B Magazine from 2006-2011. He was named “Top Media Innovator” by Mins B2B in 2009.
