KEY TAKEAWAYS
How did your journey begin?
I was taught that to be a good salesperson you need to have the correct attitude and a positive mindset My mentor instilled in me, daily rituals and routines to develop a positive mindset. What you say externally is reinforced internally. Anything external is internalised and creates your reality. By changing the soundtrack that you are sharing with other people and the story you are telling yourself you are changing your life. When my mentor had taken me as far as he could I looked for my next mentor. When I find someone who I aspire to, I listen and do everything they do.How important are network meetings?
Attending local networking meetings and actively sourcing the people in the group who inspire you is vital in your self-development journey. Asking ‘how can I help you' is a successful way to build a new relationship. When you are part of a network you meet people, have the opportunity to build your personal brand and others get to know who you are. These types of groups can provide value and opportunities for all those involved through the building of positive relationships. How do you manage the many moving parts of your business?
If parts of your business are not in some sort of chaos you are not pushing it hard enough, there should constantly be a problem that needs to be resolved. To manage chaos you choose good people. People like to be part of something, by sharing your vision and getting others to be part of it you can effectively drive your business forward. If you are not a natural leader then get behind a leader and share in the vision with them. If you are passionate about doing a particular role then offering your services for free can be an effective way of gaining experience initially.
