Nikki Maybee: The Beauty Industry is a Labor of Love

Today in the guest chair, we have Nikki Maybee, a woman who is as extraordinary as the styles she creates. She is the owner of Salon Simply Beautiful. Nikki shares her wisdom and passion for the beauty industry.

The daughter of former Motown hair stylists, Nikki Maybee’s childhood was surrounded by beauty. This year, Salon Simply Beautiful, her Berkley-based hair, makeup, and nail salon, celebrated its 10th anniversary. As an entrepreneur, Maybee has learned how to balance her role as business owner, wife, and mother, and she takes pride in mentoring stylists entering the cosmetology industry.

“I’m always looking for the next generation of talent,” she says.

As a national sales artist/educator for Brazilian Blowout and a six-time Vote 4 the Best winner, Maybee values consistency and the ability to evolve. Ultimately, she says her role in the beauty industry is a labor of love.

Nikki is married to her wonderful husband Chris and has a high spirited  son Max!!! Nikki enjoys in her  personal pastime rocking out to Prince and discovering nature's beauty via camping!!! Nikki’s, Motto is “Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
