We spend a lot of time talking about how much we love God. We measure our faith and devotion by how deep our love for Him is. We highly regard others who seem to really love God. It is a measuring rod and a point of pride. But, actually what really amazes me is not that we love God. Instead, it's that He loves us. He chooses to love us. He relishes loving us. He loves us completely, unconditionally and with abandon. He loves us when we are obedient and when we are rebellious. He loved us first and promises to never stop. Check out Romans 8:3-39. And remember, YOU ARE LOVED!
