Another entertaining weekend in the Bundesliga, but what’s new there?!? A strong showing from Leverkusen sees them put 6 past Werder Bremen, while Dortmund concede a last minute penalty against Hertha to drop two points. Bayern, Hoffenheim and Freiburg all earn wins as Schalke draw 0-0 with Leipzig.

As ever, the Bundesliga fails to disappoint! As we approach a third of the way through the season, it seems this year will entertain us right until the end.

A strong performance from Bayer Leverkusen saw them beat Werder Bremen 6-2 away from home. Their defensive frailties still showed, but an encouraging result none the less. There were also big wins for Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim, who won 3-0 and 4-0 respectively.

Borussia Dortmund came away from the weekend disappointed as they drew 2-2 at home to Hertha Berlin, despite several chances to put the game to bed. The visitors came away with a positive result, which was slightly marred by ugly scenes inside the stadium between the Hertha fans and the police.

A 2-1 for Bayern Munich against Mainz saw them close the gap to two points to Dortmund. Three wins on the bounce has gone some way to restoring order at the club following their earlier difficulties. It was also a good weekend for Freiburg, who took advantage of Borussia Mönchengladbach’s poor away form to prevail 3-1.

There is no In Depth section this week, but don’t fret. It will return in the next episode, with the DFB Pokal the centre of attention.

As always, a very special thanks to our friends ‘Phre The Eon’ for the theme music. Anyone interested can find them on Facebook
