Markus Weinzierl has had a tough time of it since taking over at Stuttgart. So he will be thankful for his team's win against Hertha Berlin this weekend. Dortmund beat Bremen, whilst Bayern put Hannover to the sword. There are also impressive wins for Düsseldorf, as well as Leipzig, who recover from last week's 3-0 loss against Freiburg.

Markus Weinzierl’s time as VFB Stuttgart manager has not got off to the best of starts. Two wins in seven, and just three goals scored, has seen them continue to struggle. Which is why Saturday’s win against Hertha Berlin was so important! Despite being 1-0 down, they managed to turn it around to grab all three points, with Mario Gomez ending his 682 minute goal drought to net a brace. Pal Dardai and his players, however, will be disappointed to throw the points away.

It was also a good week at the bottom for Fortuna Düsseldorf, who beat Freiburg 2-0. Each matchday, it is hard to know which Freiburg will turn up. This time around, it was the lacklustre one. Despite their opponents having the large majority of possession, it was Fortuna who dominated, and their victory was deserved.

At the top, Dortmund beat Bremen 2-1, whilst Bayern mauled Hannover 4-0. The scoreline was lenient on the losers, who were nothing short of abysmal. For the victors, it marks a near-return to their best after their well publicized blip earlier in the season.

As ever, we cover all of the action for you. There is no In Depth section in this week’s episode. But, as the games continue to come thick and fast, we will have another episode out on Friday covering Tuesday and Wednesday’s matchday 16.

As always, a very special thanks to our friends ‘Phre The Eon’ for the theme music. Anyone interested can find them on Facebook.
