We spend a lot of time about DNA and the genome, all the genetic material in a living organism. But what about all the proteins? More unique and complex than DNA, proteins control much of how our bodies function and act as targets for therapeutics. Until recently, studying the proteome (all the proteins in an organism) was extremely difficult. Hear Parag Mallick from Nautilus tell the story of why everything may be about to change.
