Dylan Ruga is a trial lawyer at Stalwart Law Group, where he focuses on intellectual property, professional liability and general commercial litigation. His skills have been recognized by Southern California Super Lawyers, and he was selected by his peers as a vice-chair of the American Bar Association’s Copyright Litigation Committee.

Dylan litigates intellectual property infringement claims in courts around the country for matters involving technology, music, photographs, furniture, and fabric designs. He has represented both intellectual property owners and alleged infringers in all aspects of litigation, from pre-lawsuit strategy development to ultimate resolution of the case.

As part of his practice, Dylan also works to defend attorneys and some of the country’s largest law firms against claims arising from alleged legal malpractice. These cases involve all areas of substantive law, ranging from tax to real estate to civil RICO and trusts/estates.

Dylan also defends clients in all aspects of general commercial litigation, including complex multi-district litigation (MDL) proceedings. Recently, Dylan worked with another Steptoe partner to successfully defend Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior against a claim for malicious prosecution by bringing an anti-SLAPP motion that was granted by the trial court and affirmed in a published decision on appeal. Dylan also defended claims brought by purchasers of a condominium project located outside of the United States in a consolidated proceeding involving hundreds of plaintiffs.
