Welcome to Season 2 of the podcast. In this season, I wanted to share my learning experience and reflections from the 2021 Modern Workplace Learning Practitioner Programme - created by Jane Hart, who is the Founder of the Centre for Learning & Performance Technologies  – one of the world’s leading websites on learning trends, technologies, and tools.

Today’s episode marks the start of a new block of modules on the programme, centred around Supporting Continuous Learning from the Work, and the role that both Managers and Workers themselves play in Learning from the Daily Work.

There are 4 modules within the Learning from the Daily Work component of the programme, comprising of:

The modern worker.
Reflective practices
And lastly Knowledge sharing.

Today’s episode is about the Modern Manager.

If your employees aren't learning, you're not leading.  There's a strong positive relationship between how much people learn on the job, and how much they love their job.

Modern managers play a key role in building a successful continuous learning environment, and in this unit Jane explores topics such as understanding motivation at work, how to foster flexibility, growth mindset, how to be more of a coach than a boss.
