Joey Carson is a 25-year veteran of the television industry and considered a pioneer in reality programming and an innovator in digital entertainment. He currently guides the powerhouse digital marketing agency Elevator Studio known for its ground-breaking influencer marketing initiatives and brand campaigns for multi-national brands.
Carson was CEO of Bunim/Murray Productions, known for its hit shows “The Real World,” ”The Simple Life, “and “The Bad Girls Club,” where he grew the company into an industry leader. His television credits include a variety of nonfiction programming for MTV, HBO, A&E, FOX, ABC, NBC, Oxygen and the multi Emmy Award-winning documentary “Autism: The Musical.”
An early innovator in mobile programming, in 2006he was chosen by the Producers’ Guild of America and The Hollywood Reporter as one of the “Digital 50,” new media producers and innovators shaping the future of digital storytelling via broadcast, games, interactive television and mobile content. This experience led him to launch Hollywood Interactive Group, Inc., an independent developer of innovative entertainment-themed games and social experiences and was backed by Silicon Valley VC firm Blue Run Ventures.
Previously, Carson oversaw Fox’s 20th Television syndicated production division where he was responsible for a production slate that included hit shows such as “Divorce Court,” “Cops” and “America’s Most Wanted.” He also served as a board member and Executive Producer of the ground-breaking company and show “The World Poker Tour.” Carson also held a variety of financial positions with Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Carson was graduated from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and The Hollywood Radio & Television Society.
