This talk was given by the Reverend Jay Rinsen Weik Roshi as part of a distance members zoom meeting on August 21, 2022. In this talk Roshi discusses how to recognize and meet beautifully challenging situations such as working second shift, handling grief, aging, and chronic pain. Roshi also discusses many elements that can arise during retreat such as strong emotions, keeping custody of your senses, and perception of thoughts, as well as the importance of establishing a home practice, our relationship with the dharma, and art in Zen.
