Life's A Beach is John Baker Jr's debut feature. It's a documentary about Jerry 'Mungo' Francis who set up home on a beach in Folkestone to lead a life free of the rat race. Soon after John started to film him to get his story a dispute over land ownership and rights sprung up that put Mungo at loggerheads with various private and public sector bodies. Tragically he died before anyone had the chance to throw him off the beach. Life's A Beach is an inspiring, and ultimately a sad tale. A true life David vs Goliath.

We talk to John Baker Jr and his father John Baker Sr about making their first film together.

After premiering at the Glasgow Film Festival it gets its London Premiere at the East End Film Festival on 5 July at 13:30 (Genesis Cinema, Mile End)
