JANN's Zoie Palmer

As Canadian thanksgiving comes and goes, Zoie Palmer is thankful she's playing Jann Arden’s sensible sister Max on JANN. The Calgary-based sitcom is in its third season Monday nights on CTV.
The British-born actress and York University grad is also well known for her five seasons as Dr. Lauren Lewis on the boundary-pushing Showcase drama Lost Girl. There her role as a sometime sex partner to the show's leading succubus, played by Anna Silk, landed the two of them on CNN's list of all-time favourite TV Couples.
Before COVID curtailed set visits for reporters, I kept running into Palmer on productions across Canada. Between JANN seasons, the Canadian Screen Award winner kept busy on shows such as Wynonna Earp, Taken, Ransom, Private Eyes and Pure. 
Earlier this year, she was cast alongside Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson and Max Minghella in the “Saw” inspired feature film “Spiral.”
