My guest today this week is author, Nicole Deese. Nicole is a Carol Award winner and a RITA and INSPY Award finalist. When she's not working on her next contemporary Christian romance novel, she can usually be found reading by a window overlooking the inspiring beauty of the Pacific Northwest. She lives in small-town Idaho with her happily-ever-after hubby, two rambunctious sons, and princess daughter with the heart of a warrior.

Nicole takes us on the journey of the adoption of their daughter Lucy. This was a journey that required one of surrender (of her own will and plans and allowing God to work in an area she had closed off to Him. Adoption was not easy, and Nicole admits it's not for everybody, but the relatable message is really one of trusting God with the "hard" things we feel He's calling us to.
