In this episode we look back at one of the major moments of the American Civil Rights movement, the Orangeburg Massacre . You will hear about the situation that developed in Orangeburg , South Carolina when the AllStar Bowling Alley refused to allow African American students from SC State and Claflin Universities to go inside and bowl.

It led to the deaths of three students and the wounding of several others.

This episode includes news reports looking back, contemporary reports, and you will listen in on a bus tour of Orangeburg given by an area resident, a tour of the bowling alley itself with its new Director and , finally, a presentation by Civil Rights pioneer, photographer, and Director of the Civil Rights Museum , Cecil B. Williams

This is a very educational episode on a historic event right here in South Carolina
